When I was 5 years old, I asked my mother if I could play the harp. She had no idea where I would get such an idea, and she tried to persuade me to try other instruments. I cast aside the recorder and the ukulele she brought home, and I insisted that the harp was my instrument of choice. And so it’s been my instrument of choice for the past 22 years.
I sang “Only You” at my father’s birthday party when I was 2 years old and the rest is history. My favorite type of songs to sing are American art songs, but my greatest party trick is accompanying myself on the harp.
As a professional harpist and vocalist, I have trained under many incredible artists, including Joan Seymour and Dawn Marie James. I graduated summa cum laude from Agnes Scott College with a double major in music and neuroscience. I also hold a Master’s Degree from Goldsmiths, University of London in Music, Mind, & Brain.
I recently moved from Chicago to Dayton, OH with my husband, George, and we’re enjoying life back in my hometown.
From playing in beautiful churches for weddings to small, dark hospital rooms as palliative care, I consider it a true privilege to provide music for the most important moments in people’s lives.
